Today we opened our classrooms to parents, showcasing the teaching of reading skills from Kindergarten to Year 6. Reading warm-ups are delivered for no more than 15 minutes in a day and are developed with 30% working towards 40% working at and 30% beyond. All students are actively engaged in work that it as their level whilst being taught the fundamental skills of reading.
We had over forty parents and visitors visit our classrooms, 100% more than last term's open classroom.
Thank you to the parents that stayed and shared morning tea with teachers. What a wonderful way to celebrate our student's reading achievements!
